Product Details

A sweet and sentimental treasure from the early 19th century.

American in origin, this Georgian memorial ring was crafted circa 1800 in a sweet 14 carat gold. Like other memorial rings of its caliber, this adornment features a beautiful sepia painting applied delicately to organic wafer paper. The painting depicts an urn placed upon a sophisticated funeral column, upon which the words “Be Good” are displayed prominently in the center.

This ring is unique in that it is memorializing Ann Post, who died in the year 1800 at the age of 99 years old! While it is exceptionally rare to find something from this particular period, it is even rarer to find a memorial ring commemorating a person of such an age.

Even more delightful is the fact that this ring comes in its original box, which boasts an excellent and magnanimous condition.

Between the sentimental value and rare historical features, this ring is truly a must have for any antique jewelry lover or connoisseur!
